Trainee responses...

For each seat you undertake as a trainee you are assigned a different supervisor. Your supervisor is responsible for overseeing your workload, assigning you tasks and answering any queries you may have. I have found being in an open plan office very beneficial as it makes communication between myself and my supervisor very easy. Before commencing a new task, the fee earner who sets it always gives me background information and describes what the firm are aiming to achieve for the client. Feedback, both oral and written, is given on each piece of work I undertake Charlotte Houston
There is no formal system of support/supervision in place. It just tends to take place on a daily basis. There is a very open culture at VWV. The lawyers do genuinely work together and everyone is very approachable. If you require support or supervision you just ask Dan Whitewood
