| I have attended numerous training sessions, with lots of initial training when I joined. This enabled me to settle into the firm well. Not only has training on the internal firm systems been extensive but I have attended lots of internal and external seminars and webinars on specific private client matters. | ![]() |

| Trainees are strongly encouraged to attend as many training sessions as possible. I have attended both internal and external training sessions since starting my contract. These sessions have focused not only on the area of law which I am currently working in but also on technical training and on introducing the specialism's of other solicitors at the firm. I have therefore built upon my legal and technical knowledge whilst gaining a greater understanding of the services which the firm offers. | ![]() |

| Yes, I work in the London office and I am able to attend a number of training sessions. When I first started my training contract I spent a few days in Bristol, our head office, where I completed my induction training. Since then I have attended various training sessions in London with my colleagues including networking skills training and legal resources training as well as appraisal skills training for trainees. I also have the opportunity to attend various talks and webinars which are held in our London office. I recently attended a talk on the Scottish legal system from one of our partners in Bristol and a webinar in relation to Procedures and Pitfalls in Flat Lease Extensions. | ![]() |

| A list of future training sessions is continually updated in the firms intranet. If I wish to attend any I email the Training and Development Manager and request an invitation. I have attended numerous IT training sessions which have been run by both internal staff and representatives from outside agencies. VWV also provide training sessions to all staff on changes in legislation and money laundering. Each month, different departments host numerous lunch time legal sessions in various topics concerning their area of work. I have found these to be beneficial as they enable you to discover what work is being undertaken in other areas of the firm and whether or not it may be of interest to you when requesting your next seat." | ![]() |
