| The type of work will vary depending on what seat you are in. It can vary dramatically from drafting a Parent Contract or Anti-Bullying Policy for a school, instigating debt recovery proceedings, assisting international students with visa applications, attending summary judgment hearings with Counsel, drafting Advice notes, preparing Briefs to Counsel and attending meetings with clients. Every day can bring new and exciting work which you will be encouraged to become involved in. | ![]() |

| The work I am involved in as a Trainee Solicitor varies greatly. One part of the trainee solicitors jobs in the Corporate department is to assist with the Company Secretarial Service that is offered to clients. This involves sending out reminders to inform clients when their annual accounts are due, filing forms at Companies House and giving advice on amending the officers and structure of a Company. I have carried out work on larger deals which have included company buy outs, share reorganisations and the incorporation of new companies. I also spend one day a week carrying out research for a fee earner who writes for an Education Law Journal. | ![]() |
