A chartered engineer in the communications sector before qualifying as a solicitor.
Paul advises on all aspects of intellectual property including technology law, protection, licensing, infringement, multi-media development and franchising. He is especially skilled where complex technical projects are concerned.
He also specialises in all aspects of information technology, including mainframe acquisitions, systems development and security issues. Comprehensive advice in relation to website development and e-commerce.
Paul has delivered numerous presentations at national conferences and has lectured at several universities.
Contributor to the legal sections of the Kroner Guide to Flexible Working Practices and Exploring Direct Marketing (O'Malley, Patterson and Evans). Paul is a member of the Legal Affairs Committee of the British Computer Society, and an author of its report on the Electronic Communications Bill. He is also the Chairman of the Society of Computers and Law (South West) and was chairman of the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) engineering law group.
