Ensuring the wellbeing of pupils is one of the biggest responsibilities that schools shoulder. Knowing that you have the right processes and systems in place to protect pupil welfare is crucial to the funding agreement, and the academy conversion process.
The funding agreement forms the basis of the contractual relationship between the Academy Trust and the Secretary of State and the annexes to the funding agreement set out the Academy Trust's obligations to pupils and parents in respect of admissions, exclusions, SEN and disability.
Pupil welfare ‘health check’
Using our recognised sector knowledge we will (without charge) provide you with a comprehensive report detailing your obligations in these important areas.
In addition we will provide you with a compliance "health check" of your critical pupil policies including:
- Child protection.
- Complaints.
- Pupil behaviour including expulsion and removal.
- Anti-bullying.
- Equal opportunities (particularly important in light of the Equality Act 2010).
- Admissions.
We will prepare a report for you on any aspect of your policies areas which will require amendment to ensure that you comply with the requirements of the Ofsted inspection framework and the Independent School Standard Regulations which apply to all academies post-conversion.
