Central to the services we provide to GPs is the preparation of partnership agreements to suit the individual needs of each practice.
We have introduced new agreements into well over 200 different practices throughout the south west and beyond.
Because of the depth of our experience in this field, there is rarely an occasion where the requirements of a particular practice cannot be met with appropriate wording. The recommended basic agreement is continually updated to reflect changing circumstances.
Many new intending partners seek advice from us on the existing agreement of the practice which they are looking to join.
The increasing pressure on single handed practices and the onset of GP Commissioning has made practice mergers increasingly common. We have advised on numerous such mergers, not only drawing up the new partnership agreement but advising on the practicalities of the transfer on one business to another, and advising on the complicated issues that can arise as a result of the transfer of staff and the PMS or GMS contract, and as a result of the involvement of third parties such as banks and commissioners.
