We advise clients both in the UK and abroad on all matters relating to business ethics including anti bribery and anti corruption measures as well as ways of helping businesses protect their commercial reputations.
We can help businesses with:
- Risk assessments - our Toolkits will provide a means of conducting a thorough business wide assessment of the risks of corruption and bribery, highlighting major areas of concern and prompting internal monitoring and policing and/or the introduction of new policies, procedures and training.
- We also offer a Business Integrity Audit during which we ask questions and probe into the internal business affairs and assess the risks that the business may face from an ethics point of view.
- Internal compliance - our Policies and Procedures are based on years of experience in helping businesses avoid breaches of anti-corruption legislation and can be used to benchmark a businesses existing values, standards and codes of conduct or to set new standards of compliance across the whole of the business.
- Investigations and prosecutions - Our multi-disciplinary team of lawyers offer round the clock support in the event of SFO investigations and charges. The Investigation Response Team will be experienced and equipped to assist the business during initial investigations.
- Training - to minimise risks of offending UK anti-corruption legislation and to ensure the reputation of the business is kept where it should be, all staff should receive regular training on the standards of behaviour expected of them. In addition, board members should be aware of their duties, obligations and responsibilities and third party agents should also sign up to the standards set by the engaging business. Whatever the group of people, we have a Training Programme that can be delivered in-house or externally and which can be tailored to the business and the policies and practices currently in use.
