Our Immigration team offers businesses and individuals expert legal advice and representation over the full spectrum of Immigration Law with a friendly and responsive approach.
Business immigration
We provide specialist immigration advice to all types of businesses and charities from small family companies to large multinational organisations based within and outside the UK.
We frequently advise employers who intend to recruit overseas workers, including those who currently employ workers under the old work permit system. We advise on all aspects of the right to work in the UK and we also offer a pre-licence immigration appraisal which assesses the HR systems of employers in anticipation of both the licence application and a UKBA Inspection.
UK employers
- sponsoring employees and sponsorship licence applications, amendments and renewals
- extending the employment of workers currently in the UK on work permits
- changes to terms and conditions which may affect a worker's conditions to remain in the UK
- recruiting overseas workers - employment checks including the right to work and preventing illegal working
- what an employer should do if they discover they have a worker who does not have the right to work in the UK.
As well as advising on specific issues, we provide training seminars for HR managers on immigration requirements including a comprehensive range of guidance notes and templates for your business.
