We invite you to attend a seminar on implementing the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme for the Higher Education sector - key issues for compliance and creation of carbon reduction strategies.
Why attend?
The Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC) is a mandatory market mechanism which has been introduced to encourage organisations to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions. Those affected will be required to purchase allowances per carbon tonne emitted, which is likely to have significant cash flow implications.
This event provides three different perspectives from our speakers:
Tim Smithers – Partner, Veale Wasbrough Vizards
Senior consultant in environmental, development and planning work at Veale Wasbrough Vizards, Tim will present a legal overview and consider issues of compliance with the new regulations.
Andrew Harrison – Director, DEGW
Director of Learning and Research, Andrew will provide an overview of how the challenge of emissions reductions can be addressed through the optimised utilisation of current assets.
David Rees – Partner, Davis Langdon
Partner in Davis Langdon’s specialist services group, David's contribution will be to look at the practical aspects of reducing emissions through improved energy efficiency in buildings and a future strategy of improvements.
