Our commitment to our trainees includes offering sponsorship to support successful applicants with their LPC studies before joining the firm. If you are made an offer of a training contract before you start your LPC course, we may offer to sponsor your course fees. This can be supplemented by a maintenance grant to help with your living costs during your studies.
Your training contract at VWV consists of four six-month seats to provide a mix of legal practice areas and to include both contentious and non-contentious work. Across our offices we offer a wide range of seats which could include: Corporate, Commercial, Private client, Employment, Commercial litigation, Personal injury claims, Commercial property, Property litigation, Construction, Charities.
We encourage trainees to undertake seats in different offices where possible, to help develop a full understanding of the firm's practice areas. Regular seat reviews with your supervisors will provide feedback and support for developing your legal and professional skills and knowledge. The firm also has an active Trainee Knowledge Sharing group, which shares insight into different seats and best practice support for all the firm's trainees. Throughout your Training contract, your professional and personal development is supported by the firm's strong commitment to learning and development.
We are also committed to helping our trainees develop their future careers. We share forthcoming NQ vacancies with our trainees as early as possible in order to support retention into qualified roles with us wherever possible.
