Ian has over 16 years' experience of working with commercial clients and public sector bodies in real estate. Formerly head of the property team at HB Public Law (a shared service provider of legal services to numerous local authorities, including Barnet, Hounslow and Harrow), where he managed a team of lawyers, he has expertise in large scale development and regeneration work, charity law and corporate governance issues. On the commercial side, Ian has handled an extensive range of commercial property transactions for large and small companies, as well as private individuals, and has a particular specialism in acting for institutional investors and advising on landlord and tenant law.

Ian is successful at developing and maintaining positive client relationships by understanding the clients' business and gaining their trust and confidence. His 5 years' experience as a government in house lawyer gives Ian a wider perspective on the commercial and other issues faced by clients.

Ian has appeared in a Legal Network TV training DVD on SDLT & lease renewals. He has also delivered seminars and training on a diverse range of property related legal topics to clients and contacts. As well as being a practising solicitor, Ian qualifed as a notary public in 2010.
