He deals with corporate transactions (such as mergers, acquisitions, disposals and funding) structural and governance issues and corporate finance matters.
Simon started at VWV in 2016 as a Paralegal in the Private Client team, assisting clients with Wills, trusts, probates and powers of attorney. He then commenced his training contract in 2017, spending time in the Corporate, Construction and Charities teams.
As a corporate solicitor, Simon now supports clients across VWV's sectors on all corporate matters, ranging from multi-million pound international acquisitions to constitutional issues for governors of schools. Simon advises education institutions, charities and technology businesses, as well as overseas clients living, working or investing in the UK, and UK clients investing abroad.
Before starting at VWV, Simon worked in both the private and public sector, and volunteered for charities such as St Catherine's Hospice Crawley and Victim Support. It is his previous experience which allows Simon to understand the complexities of business structures and the daily pressures directors and trustees face.
