VWV to Be Joined by Seabourne Lawleys

on Tuesday, 06 June 2017.

Our growth strategy is continuing with a further collaboration with niche private client law firm Seabourne Lawleys.

Northwood PR 750x450
L-R: Megan Seabourne (Seabourne Lawleys), Richard Phillips (VWV Watford Office Partner), Natalie Nero (Seabourne Lawleys)

Seabourne Lawleys, currently based in Northwood, specialises in a range of legal work, mostly for private clients: residential property, family and related finances, cohabitation, Wills, probate and trust advice.

Simon Heald, Managing Partner of VWV, said:

"We have been looking for further opportunities to grow not only our national practice but also to enhance our private client offering in Watford.

Seabourne Lawleys presents a great opportunity for us to achieve this.

The last 18 months have been very busy times for us. In 2016, we acquired a significant part of Matthew Arnold & Baldwin (MAB), and relocated our colleagues to a newly refurbished office in Clarendon Road, Watford.

For Watford, North London and the Northern Home Counties, we are very committed to maintaining and building a local presence. Before MAB closed in January 2016, it was the 'go to' firm in Watford and that is a mantle VWV is fast assuming. We want to build on that. Our Seabourne Lawleys collaboration reinforces this drive and ambition.

As a firm we are top ranked for our private client services. The addition of Seabourne Lawleys consolidates our position.

This announcement comes hot on the heels of our merger with healthcare specialist Lockharts in February of this year."

Megan Seabourne, Managing Partner of Seabourne Lawleys, commented:

"I have been looking for an ideal partner to support and maintain a long lasting relationship with my clients and staff. I believe that partner to be VWV.

For me, VWV has a real passion for private clients which is sadly, lost by so many firms these days. VWV's track record is impressive and their teams are so very approachable and friendly."
