With our evolved HR Retainer, tailored for schools and academies, you set the level of support you need. Some clients have an experienced in-house core HR function requiring only limited, ad hoc guidance from time to time; others are looking for us to take a more proactive role, as an extension of your own team, working with you on your strategic goals around people management and planning.
We aim to provide certainty and control with costs and take a 'no surprises approach'.
Knowing the sector from within, we've faced your challenges first-hand.
The experience of the team includes working in-house in a multi-academy trust. Many of the team are experienced employment lawyers, as well as school governors and trustees, bringing a wealth of expertise, knowledge and passion for the schools and academies sector.
Personal relationships are key. We take time getting to know you, your culture, your priorities, so that we are best placed to explore and support you with day-to-day HR queries. We can advise you on school-specific issues such as directed time calculations, CPD, PPA, TLR structures, pro-rating for part time staff or term time only staff, disciplinary issues, grievances and conflict, performance management issues, annual salary reviews, and ill health and disabilities.
We offer a range of bespoke HR retainer packages, allowing us to offer HR operational support, support with recruitment, panel support at in-person and remote meetings, and training for your senior staff.
Our experienced team also offer a range of additional services, including workplace investigations, support with consultation exercises, culture reviews and support with strategic projects.
