Mark is a commercial and primary care regulatory specialist. Mark has acted for a wide range of healthcare providers and commissioners and has drafted a range of national model contracts.
I have acted for GPs and GP provider organisations for over 11 years advising on business structures and contractual matters. Having worked on a number of Vanguard new models of care and developing primary care at scale, I work with healthcare providers to help them develop and update business structures and unravel the complexities around integrating primary and secondary care.
Other than working to meet our clients' needs and requirements, I work actively in supporting the business development for the Healthcare team. This involved building our relationships and working with our key intermediaries, such as banks, Local Medical Committees, surveyors and accountants. This ensure our clients and theirs have access to a complimentary team of specialists in every field.
My experience in acting for a range of healthcare commissioners, NHS and Foundation Trusts has given me a broad understanding of the concerns and requirements of a range of differing interests involved in developing new models of care. This has helped me tailor the service I offer to healthcare practices when working with commissioners and other providers.
Having drafted the model primary care contracts and a range of national enhanced service schemes, I am acutely aware of how to develop new structures and opportunities that work within the limitations of the regulatory scheme.
I have acted for GPs and dentists for my entire legal career and am experienced in large to small scale practice mergers, federations, acquisitions and incorporations.
