Paul has over 20 years' experience as a commercial lawyer and has specialised in healthcare work since 2004. He was a Partner at Lockharts before joining VWV and is ranked in Chambers UK as a leading practitioner for medical partnership work.
Most of my work is for GP practices, dental practices and individual GPs and dentists. I have lots of experience drafting and reviewing partnership deeds. I also advise on practice mergers, takeovers and the formation of super partnerships.
About half of my work involves partnership disputes or disputes between practices and NHS England or their CCG. I advise on partner expulsions and financial or property-related disputes between partners. I help practices with contractual disputes including responding to termination or breach notices and PMS reviews.
I have a busy caseload where I am the main lawyer advising clients, but I also help other colleagues in the Healthcare team by supervising their work or giving a second opinion on a matter. The great thing about VWV is having specialists who really know their stuff and being part of a full service firm working across four offices around the country. So if you don't know the answer yourself, there is very likely to be someone in the firm who does know.

My wife is Korean and that means frequent holidays there to stay in touch with family. I have been trying to learn some basic Korean but it isn't easy and I can say that my 5 year old daughter is better than me!
