Varsha is a Consultant in the Commercial Property team and is based at our Watford office.
Varsha qualified as a solicitor in 1987. Prior to joining VWV, Varsha worked at Lockharts Solicitors for over 19 years, leading the Commercial Property department as a Partner. Varsha has also worked at Cameron McKenna.
What Does Your Role Involve on a Day to Day Basis?
I work for the firm's healthcare clients and advise healthcare practitioners on issues relating to surgery developments, negotiating commercial leases, loan documentation, negotiating leases with third party developers as well as negotiating Agreements for Leases.
I liaise closely with clients, solicitors and intermediaries to achieve the desired outcome for the client, as well as cross-linking and referring across our firm regarding other legal products and services to offer and meet our clients' needs and requirements.
What Do You Do as Part of the Healthcare team at VWV?
My commercial property work encompasses commercial conveyancing matters for GP surgeries and dental practices, transfers of GP property interests, advice on all property issues connected with health provision, liaising with District Valuers, advising GPs on exit strategies from their leases on retirement, securing agreements for leases with third party developers with favourable financial benefits for GPs, advising GPs on their loan offer letters and bank security documentation, as well as securing collateral warranties from third party developers
