All written statements must be compliant with section 1 of the Employment Rights Act 2006.
Previously, employers had up to two months to provide the statement and these requirements only applied to employees, not to workers.
Additional Information Required
From 6 April, s1 statements must also include:
- the days of work and if variable how they will be varied
- any benefits
- details of any probationary period
- details of any required training
