Goddard Inquiry - Latest News

Earlier this month, the chair of the Inquiry, Dame Lowell Goddard issued a Statement in response to perceived criticism that the Inquiry was focusing too much on victims and survivors and not enough on those accused

  • Throughout March, the Inquiry has held the first preliminary hearings in relation to the Lord Janner, Anglican Church, Rochdale and Lambeth Council investigations.
    Transcripts of the Lord Janner, Anglican Church and Rochdale preliminary hearings have been made available online. These hearings are discussed in more detail in this week's FAQ.

  • Last month, the chair of the Inquiry, Dame Lowell Goddard issued a statement in response to perceived criticism that the Inquiry was focusing too much on victims and survivors and not enough on those accused.
    In her statement, the chair confirmed the 'unprecedented' size and scope of the Inquiry and emphasised her intention to ensure that 'all relevant evidence is considered'.
  • The Goddard Inquiry has announced that the second preliminary hearings in relation to the Lord Janner, Anglican Church, Rochdale and Lambeth Council investigations will be held on the 26 and 27 July 2016 at the RCJ.
