New Advertising Guidelines Published for Video Bloggers

The Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) has published new guidelines for vloggers who enter marketing relationships with brands.

The updated guidance has been issued to offer vloggers some clarity on the issue. The move encourages vloggers to clearly label advertising content and explain when they have been asked by companies to promote / feature their products. Vloggers must also make it clear when they are advertising their own products – a message should be included in the video title.
