Planning Ahead

Planning law is constantly changing and it can be difficult for all practitioners to keep up with it. David Bird and Tom Ewings, a Partner and Solicitor respectively in our Planning and Infrastructure team, will run through some of the more interesting changes brought in by the revised NPPF. They will also touch on planning enforcement, including the time limits for immunity and the practicalities of applying for a certificate of lawfulness.

Changing Values

The duties and obligations of valuers in connection with commercial property and the legal obligations which follow on from them can cause considerable concern. Nick Martindale, a Senior Associate in our Litigation team specialising in professional negligence claims, will look at the recent case of Moore v. National Westminster Bank Plc and discuss some of the other issues currently causing concern to surveyors and valuers.

Barns, Business Centres and Overage (Again!)

Some interesting recent cases and new statutory measures which have implications for property owners, investors, developers and their advisers will be discussed by Mark Hughes, a Partner in our Real Estate team.
