This free breakfast session will address one of the perennial conundrums of data-driven research.
Researchers' ambitions to design data-driven solutions to real-world problems often collide with legal and regulatory requirements. Together with Dr James Hetherington and his team at the Alan Turing Institute, VWV Partner Serena Tierney has helped author a paper setting out a secure cloud-based protocol that addresses both demands.
Come and hear them explain:
• What makes data 'sensitive'?
• Balancing data risk and research autonomy
• A secure cloud-based architecture
Timings:
• 8.30am - registration & breakfast
• 8.45am - start
• 10.30am - finish
Who should attend:
Those interested in keeping research efficient and legal.
