Essential HR for Line Managers & Business Owners
Line Managers, Business Owners and those responsible for staffing issues who don't have an HR background have to deal with HR issues on a daily basis, whether it's managing a disciplinary process, dealing with grievances from staff or handling performance. Many will have had no training in these potentially tricky areas. This session is designed to cover the essentials of HR, leaving line managers better equipped to deal with these issues as they crop up.
The session will cover:
HR Consultants Caitlin Anniss and Sarah Martin from Narrow Quay HR, will cover this interactive sesssion and include case studies and practical exercises to get delegates thinking. Through the exercises we will cover issues such as subject access requests, the right to be accompanied, discrimination, keeping notes of conversations and other issues which often crop up while managing staff through HR processes
