EMIG's recently held a webinar focused on the forthcoming revised ABPI (Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry) Code which comes into force on 1 July 2021, with guest speaker Sharon McCullough of Zygian Ltd who spoke about the key changes, both substantive and presentational, to the pharmaceuticals and life sciences sector.
The ABPI has called the new Code the most significant structural change in nearly 30 years and there are notable changes around disclosure of payments to patients and journalists, grants, donations, sponsorship, medical and educational goods and services and collaborations and partnerships. In addition there has been a major clause shuffle and renumbering as well as the introduction of colour coding.
