Many charities carry on their work using non-charitable trading subsidiaries. This webinar is intended to act as an introduction for charities thinking about whether they may need a subsidiary- and as a refresher for those who already have subsidiaries in existence.

In this webinar we will:

• Provide a reminder about why a charity may need (or want) a subsidiary company
• Highlight the key aspects of the relationship between a charity and its subsidiary, taking into account the guidance of the Charity Commission and HMRC as regulators
• Identify the documents and practical steps likely to be needed between the charity and the subsidiary to protect the charity's position
• Talk about some of the risk areas that may arise for charities in practice in engaging with their subsidiaries (and what charities can do to mitigate those risk)
