EHCP appeals before SENDIST: what schools need to know to participate effectively in EHCP appeals

Miriam Carrion Benitez and Rosie Browne will deliver this free webinar to explore how best to prepare for SENDIST appeals.

At: Webinar

16 Oct 2024

2.30pm - 4.00pm

Increasingly, schools are being asked to attend appeal hearings before SENDIST where parents have appealed against the contents of an EHCP. Participation in appeal hearings can be a stressful time for schools, particularly where they have had little notice of the appeal and are managing busy days at school. Equally, schools want to get it right when supporting parents through this process. Schools' participation in these appeals is an important piece of the puzzle when trying to ensure that schools' voice in relation to suitability, ability to meet need and funding is heard in the EHCP process.
