The Legal 500 2026

VWV secured 31 practice area rankings in this years' Legal 500 guide, including:

• Two new or improved rankings, maintaining top-tier rankings in a  seven recognised tier one practice areas.
• 35 individual rankings, including:
  • 21 Leading Partners (3 in the Hall of Fame),
  • 9 Next Generation Lawyers,
  • 5 Leading Associates.

Our Family team have secured their first ranking in the Beds, Bucks, Herts and Middx region, and the Commercial Property team have achieved a tier two ranking in the same region, improving from last year's guide. 

Chambers and Partners High Net Worth 2025

VWV have improved on or maintained all 10 rankings in the Chambers and Partners High Net Worth 2025 Guide.

Highlights include:

• Our South West Private Wealth Disputes team have maintained their Band 1 ranking. 
• Michelle Rose, Head of Private Client, and Fiona Lawrence, Partner, have maintained their Band 1 ranking within this practice area.
• Rachael Armstrong TEP, Partner, has maintained her Band 1 ranking for the third consecutive year.
• Daniel Church, Partner, has received a Band 2 ranking, advancing from Band 3 last year.
• Tom Brett Young, Immigration Partner, has maintained his Band 3 ranking.

EducationInvestor Awards 2025

We are thrilled to have been named Legal Advisor of the Year, to Education Institutions at the 2025 EducationInvestor Awards.

This marks our second consecutive win of this particular award, and our fifth overall win at the EducationInvestor Awards, demonstrating our continued commitment to the education sector, where we support over 1,200 institutions, including independent schools, academies, colleges and universities.

Cairneagle, our strategic consultancy firm, also celebrated at the 2025 Awards, winning their seventh award for strategic consulting in education.

Legal PA of the Year 2025

We are pleased that Claire Hanke, has been named Legal PA of the Year 2025, and this years' Birmingham Law Society Awards.

This is the first time that Claire has been nominated for this award, and we're proud that she has been recognised for her efforts.
