Schools must ensure that they properly carry out, record and evidence a raft of pre-appointment checks as part of the recruitment process. A key part of this is maintaining the Single Central Register (SCR) and ensuring that it meets regulatory requirements.
Join VWV education expert, Richard Hewitt, for a detailed discussion of the requirements of the SCR and pre-appointment checking process. This session will cover the following:
- The checks required for the various parts of your workforce.
- The evidence you need to retain of the checks you complete.
- Knowing your SCR obligations – how should your SCR be presented and maintained, what should it include and what’s not required?
- Inspection compliance – understand your minimum requirements and gain the confidence to challenge misconceptions prior to and during inspection.
Who should attend?
This session is relevant for anyone involved in, or with leadership and management responsibility for the safer recruitment process.
