Join us for an interactive breakfast seminar in our Bristol office to discuss the key foundations of being a trustee.

Join us next week for a morning of conversation and collaboration at our Bristol or London office, where we will discuss the core duties and responsibilities of charity trustees over breakfast.

This free session is designed to help trustees build a strong foundation in their roles, giving you the knowledge and confidence to succeed. It’s also a chance to connect with fellow trustees, share experiences, and learn from each other in a relaxed, open environment.

What we’ll cover:

  • The legal and regulatory framework charities operate within
  • The key responsibilities and duties of charity trustees
  • Understanding trustee liability and how to manage risks
  • Essential governance areas including: accountability, strategy, risk management, and handling conflicts of interest/duty

There will be opportunities to network, ask questions, and exchange ideas with other trustees facing similar challenges.
Whether you are new to the role or looking for a refresher, this session is a great opportunity to grow your knowledge and make connections that can strengthen your work with your charity.

We look forward to seeing you there and having some great conversations!

Who should attend?

  • Individuals who are considering becoming a charity trustee or who have recently been appointed trustee without prior experience within this role.
  • Existing trustees as a refresher to assist in their charity's good governance practice.
  • CEOs and other senior executives to assist them in giving context to their work with and support to their board of trustees.
