VWV supports longstanding client Cassidy Group as Nottingham student scheme opens
VWV has advised longstanding client Cassidy Group on the construction of Beckton House, a new 419-studio student accommodation development in Beeston, Nottingham, which has officially opened for the new academic year.
VWV's Construction team, led by Jason Prosser (Partner) and Francesca Morrison (Associate), provided all of the construction law input into this scheme (to include advice on the main building contract, the suite of professional appointments and associated documentation), supporting Cassidy Group through to completion.
Jason Prosser, Partner in VWV's Construction team, commented:
"We are delighted to have been involved in the successful delivery of Beckton House, an impressive and very well located building with excellent facilities. Our input reflects the continued trust Cassidy Group places in VWV, with the firm having supported Patric Cassidy and his team on numerous student accommodation and build to rent projects over the last 8 years."
Liam Brennan, Development Manager for Cassidy Group, commented:
"Cassidy Group Ltd are celebrating the successful delivery of a development that combines quality accommodation with excellent transport links and a range of facilities designed with student life at the centre. This milestone wouldn't have been possible without the hard work, collaboration and commitment of everyone involved over the past few years, to include the excellent support provided by our construction lawyers Jason Prosser and Francesca Morrison at VWV".
Beckton House was officially opened by England rugby legend Mike Tindall MBE at a launch event which was attended by Jason and Francesca.
The delivery of Beckton House highlights VWV's construction law expertise within the student accommodation and wider real estate sector, and the firm's ability to support clients from planning through to completion on complex, high-value schemes.
