The Parent Contract

The Parent Contract Template

Our Parent Contract template has recently undergone a substantial revision to reflect changes in the law and best practice. The importance of a comprehensive suite of contractual documents setting out clearly the obligations and rights of the parties cannot be understated.

With our Parent Contract, your school can maintain greater control over its legal relationship with parents.

The Parent Contract Templates

We have developed new versions of our parent contract templates to better meet the specific requirements of each school. The table below sets out the documents included in each version.

These templates take account of recent changes in the law affecting independent schools, including:

  • Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013
  • European Union Directive on Consumer Credit
  • UKVI Immigration Rules
  • the Consumer Rights Act 2015

They also benefit from the experiences of our School Fees Recovery Scheme which, each year, handles a huge number of claims for unpaid fees on behalf of many schools.
