Ellie is a Senior Associate in our Employment team. 

Ellie advises independent schools and academies as well as businesses, charities and individuals on all aspects of employment law.

Ellie is experienced in advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters including: disciplinary, grievance and capability procedures, discrimination, bullying and harassment, staff contracts and policies, workplace investigations, settlement agreements, restructures and redundancy programmes. 

She supports clients in the education sector with employment and safeguarding issues, including safer recruitment, Single Central Register audits, incident management, DBS and TRA referrals and proceedings and TPS consultations. 

Ellie is experienced in conducting employment tribunal litigation, including unfair dismissal, discrimination and employment status matters.

Ellie joined the firm in September 2014 and qualified as a solicitor in 2016. Having spent most of her career supporting schools, Ellie has a core understanding of the education sector and enjoys supporting clients to achieve their objectives. She provides clear, commercial and pragmatic advice. 

Ellie is based in the firm's London office, but supports clients nationally. 

What you might like to know

Ellie graduated with a 2:1 in Law from the University of Birmingham. She went on to achieve Distinction in her Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, Bristol.

Ellie is a regular speaker at the firm's employment law seminars and is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. 

Outside of work, Ellie enjoys reformer pilates and resistance training, travel, and making the most of London's culture.
