Rory is a Solicitor in the Employment Law team, based in Bristol, specialising in providing contentious and non-contentious advice to our clients. He has a wide range of experience acting for clients in the commercial and education sectors, which includes higher education institutions, sports teams and recruitment agencies. Through working in these sectors, Rory has developed significant expertise in assisting employees with workplace disputes.
Meeting your needs
Rory regularly provides advice to our employer clients on managing disciplinary and grievance procedures, drafting and negotiating the contents of settlement agreements and preparing staff manuals too. Rory also has experience in advising clients in employment tribunal claims and has previously assisted clients successfully defend discrimination, unfair dismissal and whistleblowing claims.
In addition, Rory provides clear, concise, down to earth advice to employees who have been presented with a settlement agreement by their employer.
Rory is approachable, proactive and is able to provide straightforward, practical advice to clients which is tailored to their circumstances.

What you might like to know
Rory completed his training contract at VWV, undertaking seats in our Corporate, Property Litigation and Commercial Litigation teams before qualifying into the Employment department in March 2022. He completed his law degree and LPC at the University of the West of England.
Outside of work, Rory is a keen follower of Southampton FC and (badly) plays a wide variety of sports including football, golf, and tennis. Rory is a keen cook and plays guitar in the firm's band.
