How Can Siân Help You?

Siân is an Associate in our Employment team who specialises in providing both contentious and non-contentious advice on a variety of employment issues. She has experience advising clients in both the private and public sectors.

Siân has significant experience in defending Employment Tribunal claims. She has acted on behalf of Respondents in Employment Tribunal claims across the UK relating to a broad range of employment law issues including unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, wrongful dismissal, unlawful deductions and discrimination under the Equality Act 2010.

Meeting Your Needs

Prior to joining VWV, Siân spent two years working in employment law providing advice to a range of clients in the private and public sectors, including FTSE-100 and FTSE-250 clients across a variety of sectors, as well as a government department. Siân therefore recognises the differing needs of her clients and the pressures they face.

Siân takes time to understand both the legal and commercial objectives of her clients and delivers clear, commercial advice on complex legal issues. 

Siân advises on a range of employment law matters including HR policies, handbook reviews, exit negotiations, settlement terms, grievance outcomes, disciplinaries, employment contracts and service agreements.

What You Might Like to Know

Prior to pursuing her legal studies, Siân graduated from the University of Bath with a 2:1 in International Management and French. Siân then stayed in the South West to undertake her legal studies, completing both her Graduate Diploma in Law and her MSc Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Bristol where she achieved a Commendation and a Distinction respectively. 

Siân is a member of the Employment Lawyers' Association and regularly attends seminars and events relating to a variety of employment law issues.

Outside of work, Siân enjoys running, cycling, cooking and travelling. During her degree, Siân lived in France for a year where she spent time studying at the University of Strasbourg before undertaking an internship in Paris. Siân has spent two months travelling in South America and is planning future trips to Asia and New Zealand.
