Increase of limits on tribunal awards from 6 April 2025

The annual increase in the limits applying to certain Employment Tribunal awards has been confirmed.
From 6 April 2025, the following compensation limits will increase as follows:
- The limit on a week's pay increases from £700 to £719.
- The maximum compensatory award for ordinary unfair dismissal increases from £115,115 to £118,223.
- The minimum basic award for certain unfair dismissals (including health and safety dismissals) increases from £8,533 to £8,763.
- The limit on the compensatory award for failing to have a written policy on tips or for unfair distribution of tips increases from £5,000 to £5,135.
