Amy is a Senior Associate in the Family Law team, bringing over 13 years of experience to her practice.

Amy qualified as a solicitor in 2014 at a top tier Legal 500 firm and was part of the successful husband's legal team in the Supreme Court case Mills v Mills [2018] UKSC 38 which concerned the variation of a joint lives maintenance order.

With a calm, empathetic approach, Amy guides Family Law clients through challenging and emotionally complex situations, such as relationship breakdowns, divorce and financial settlements, and disputes over child arrangements. 

Amy focuses on resolving disputes efficiently, reducing conflict, and keeping matters as amicable as possible. Amy is committed to handling every case with the utmost care, working to ensure that outcomes are fair, timely, and cost-effective.

  • Prenuptial, Postnuptial, and Cohabitation Agreements: Amy assists clients before or during their relationships, providing advice and drafting agreements that protect assets and outline the future distribution of property in the event of a separation or divorce.
  • Property Disputes: If a cohabiting relationship ends, Amy helps resolve disputes regarding property ownership and division.
  • Divorce and Financial Settlements: Amy helps clients navigate the divorce process, from the application for divorce or dissolution to negotiating a financial settlement outside of court. Where an agreement cannot be reached, she has the expertise to represent clients in court proceedings to resolve financial issues.
  • Child Arrangements: Amy provides expert guidance in matters concerning the care and welfare of children following separation or divorce. She supports clients in reaching agreements or, if necessary, making applications to the court to determine child arrangements.
  • Injunctions - Amy can advise clients on obtaining protective orders from the court where there has been domestic abuse.
  • Complex Family Law Issues: Amy has represented clients in complex matters, including:
    • Disputes over business valuations in financial remedy proceedings
    • Applications to freeze or locate assets
    • Setting aside financial remedy orders for non-disclosure
    • Enforcement of court orders
    • Relocation of children - within the UK and outside of the UK
    • Preventing the removal of children from the UK
    • Applications for permission to change a child's surname or school
    • Allegations of domestic abuse
