Bob is a Partner in our Employment team. He is well versed in all aspects of employment law, and can help you on matters including:
- providing HR advice to employers across a wide variety of sectors, but in particular in the higher education, life sciences & healthcare sectors
- acting for both respondents and claimants in the employment tribunals and employment appeals tribunal on a wide variety of claims
- representing both claimants and defendants in High Court litigation relating to the enforcement of confidentiality clauses, post termination restrictive covenants and implied obligations
- conducting successful mediations to resolve complex disputes involving a mixture of employee, director and shareholder issues
- dealing with TUPE information and consultation, due diligence and the drafting and negotiation of indemnities, warranties and disclosures in asset and share transactions
- drafting and updating employment contracts, handbooks and employment policies
- advising individuals, particularly senior executives, on settlement agreements

Bob is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. He regularly presents seminars for the firm’s clients, contacts and external organisations, which have included Pharmaphorum, the Ethical Medicines Interest Group, Deloitte and Hertfordshire University’s Law School.
Bob has written articles on employment law issues in publications such as the Employment Law Journal, Personnel Today, the Institute of Directors Magazine and the Financial Times. He has been a panellist for the Guardian’s Small Business Network and has also been interviewed on legal issues by BBC Three Counties Radio.
Bob delivers bespoke, practical HR training to clients’ managers and more detailed technical training to their HR departments.
Away from work, Bob enjoys brewing (and tasting!) beer, cooking, visiting auctions and travel.
