Dawn is a Senior Associate in the Litigation and Employment Department.
She specialises in Personal Injury work and have done so since qualifying as a Solicitor in 2005, working with our Personal Injury Law team.
Dawn helps claimants who have suffered severe injuries. This could be as a result of an accident at work, a road traffic accident, due to the negligence of an occupier or clinical negligence.
She works with Claimants who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, amputations, loss of eyesight and complex fractures to ensure they receive appropriate treatment in a timely manner, which can include the involvement of case managers to assist with this process, and to ensure that they reach the best possible outcome to their claim.
Some of the case she has been involved in are as follows:
Road Traffic Accident
- A high value road traffic accident case that settled at a Joint Settlement Meeting approximately one month before Trial for £4.1 million
- A claim involving a cyclist who suffered a traumatic brain injury as a result of a van colliding into her bicycle
Employers Liability
- A complex, Non Freezing Cold Injury (NFCI) case which settled at Trial in excess of £250,000
- A claim involving a Claimant who tripped on a defective platform at work and suffered a traumatic brain injury causing permanent neurophysiological, neuropsychological and neuropsychiatric complications
Medical Negligence
- A claim against an NHS Trust for negligence in connection with surgery on the Claimant's leg leading to a below knee amputation
- A claim for a severe eye injury against an NHS Trust due to the delay and diagnosis of bleb related endophthalmitis
Dawn is based in our Bristol office, but can support you nationally.
