Helen specialises in providing contentious and non-contentious employment law advice, working with a number of education institutions including schools, academies, MATs and universities.

She can assist you by providing strategic advice in relation to employment disputes, employment tribunal claims, business reorganisations, redundancy processes, TUPE transfers as well as day to day HR support including advice on equality and diversity issues, disciplinary and grievance processes, sickness absences, capability issues and procedures, flexible working requests, provision of references and restrictive covenants. Helen can also assist with the drafting of employment documentation including contracts, consultancy agreements, secondment agreements, staff handbooks, HR policies and procedures, and also settlement agreements.

Helen enjoys employment practice because it is a dynamic area of law which is constantly evolving. She has developed an understanding of the requirements of clients' businesses and the sectors in which they operate. Helen is well placed to provide strategic and practical advice tailored to your needs to help you achieve your commercial goals.

Helen is enthusiastic about her work and enjoys helping clients to achieve their commercial goals. She is a member of the Employment Lawyer's Association and writes articles for various newsletters and briefings, contributing regularly to the VWV Employment, Schools and Academies and Higher Education law briefs.

As a keen runner, hockey player and skier Helen loves sport and the outdoors.
