Krishna is solicitor in our Commercial team, specialising in a diverse range of commercial, corporate, and charity law matters.

With a background in pensions law, Krishna has a keen understanding of the complexities of regulatory compliance, risk management, and legal structuring.

Krishna has developed substantial expertise and passion for a broad spectrum of commercial law, including data protection, technology and IT contracts, intellectual property, and ad hoc corporate transactional work. Throughout her previous paralegal role and training contract, she had exposure to working with the employment (contentious and non-contentious matters), corporate real estate, financial crime and investigation litigation, and on general commercial and corporate matters. 

Krishna's noteworthy experiences include:

• Coventry Building Society: an internal secondment at Coventry Building Society, a key player in the heavily regulated financial sector. Krishna worked in the in-house legal team, providing support on a variety of day-to-day, ad hoc matters. This experience offered invaluable insight into the inner workings of a financial institution.
• Toyota (GB) PLC: worked in the in-house legal team at Toyota GB PLC, a global leader in the automotive sector. In this role, Krishna had significant exposure to the commercial and legal issues that affect a major multinational organisation, further solidifying mher passion for commercial law. This work allowed krishna to appreciate the complex legal and regulatory challenges faced by large corporations, including intellectual property concerns, contract negotiations, and compliance with various international laws.

Krishna's current role within the commercial, corporate, and charities team allows her to provide comprehensive legal support across a wide range of sectors. Krishna is well-equipped to provide significant assistance in supporting clients, helping them navigate their commercial and corporate challenges. She also works closely with more senior colleagues to deliver practical, clear, and commercially sound legal advice tailored to each client’s needs.

• Commercial Law: Krishna has gained valuable experience in a wide range of commercial matters, including contract negotiation, drafting, and dispute resolution and is particularly adept in navigating data protection issues, ensuring compliance with GDPR, and advising clients on data handling best practices.
• Technology and IT Contracts: Krishna can assist clients in negotiating and drafting technology-related contracts, including software licensing agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), and technology outsourcing contracts. She can also advise on issues surrounding cybersecurity and intellectual property protection in the digital space.
• Intellectual Property (IP): Krishna has developed a strong understanding of IP law, advising clients on brand protection, licensing agreements, and IP disputes. Her focus is on helping clients protect their intangible assets to enhance the value of their businesses.
• Corporate Transactions: Krishna supports clients in corporate M&A transactions in the education and charities sector, including due diligence, contract drafting, and compliance, and can assist in structuring deals and provide advice on post-transaction integration to ensure long-term success.
