Morag is a Partner in our Corporate Law team. She is an experienced corporate education lawyer, advising education bodies and research institutions on a wide range of corporate and commercial issues.

These include acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and collaborations, group structures, constitutional and governance matters, grant funding arrangements and general contracting matters.

Morag has also advised the academies sector on academy projects and governance since the inception of the academies programme, and regularly provides training to clients on directors duties and corporate law matters affecting the education sector.

Her wide and varied client base has included universities, colleges, academy trusts and sponsors, independent schools, research councils, research institutes, charities and private education providers and funders. 

Morag has been lead advisor on a number of high profile projects, including the establishment of several national research institutes and multi million pound government investments into R&D.

Clients will benefit from Morag's breadth and depth of experience obtained over 20 years of practice. She is a skilled project manager and is able to deliver complex projects efficiently and cost effectively. Morag recognises the importance of getting to know her clients and understanding their needs and objectives so that her advice is tailored, practical and relevant. What you might like to know

Outside of work, Morag spends most of her time on the touchline cheering on her two sons in their various sports! She also enjoys hiking, running, skiing and going to the theatre.
