William Hollins

William is an associate solicitor in the estates, tax planning and trusts team.

William can advise on all aspects of non-contentious private client work, including the preparation of Wills, assisting with the administration of estates and advising on and the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney.

William has particular expertise in the administration of complex estates and can advise on steps that personal representatives can take to mitigate the taxes that might be payable by the personal representatives of an estate. This can include the appropriation of estate assets to exempt beneficiaries (to mitigate any capital gains tax that might be payable following the disposal of assets that have increased in value). This can also include submitting claims to the Revenue for relief from inheritance tax if certain estate assets are disposed of for less than their probate values.

William is based in our London office, but can assist clients nationally.

"William was always quick to respond and answer all of my queries in a constructive and understanding way"
