This free session is designed to help trustees build a strong foundation in their roles, giving you the knowledge and confidence to succeed.

It's also a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow trustees, share experiences and learn from one another in a relaxed and open environment.

What will this training cover?

We'll guide you through the key areas every trustee needs to feel confident in, including the legal and regulatory framework charities operate within, the core responsibilities and duties of charity trustees, and how to understand and manage trustee liability and risk. We'll also explore essential governance areas such as accountability, strategy, risk management and handling conflicts of interest.

There will be plenty of opportunities throughout the session to ask questions, share ideas and connect with other trustees facing similar challenges.

Who should attend this training?

Whether you're new to the role or simply looking for a refresher, this session has something valuable to offer. It is particularly well-suited to:

  • Individuals considering becoming a charity trustee or recently appointed without prior experience
  • Existing trustees looking to strengthen their governance practice
  • CEOs and senior executives seeking to better support their board of trustees.
