VWV welcomes seven newly qualified solicitors

on Friday, 12 April 2024.

This March, VWV proudly welcomed seven newly qualified solicitors who had successfully completed their training contracts with the firm.

Across our Bristol and London offices, these new solicitors now bolster our commercial, employment, private client, and personal injury teams.

We extend our warmest congratulations to our newly qualified solicitors: Valeriia Repina-Tutton, Alice Mennell, Rachel Solomons, Hannah Guy, Georgina Howe, Natasha Skinner, and Bryony Montandon. At VWV, the development of our emerging legal talent is paramount, as it not only shapes the future of our firm but also ensures the provision of excellent service to our clients.

Jason Prosser, our Training Principal, emphasised: "It is great to see our trainees qualifying as solicitors and staying with the firm for the next stage of their careers. We are proud of our very high retention rate, and this is testament to the positive culture at VWV, our modern and entrepreneurial approach, the quality of work that we carry out and the transparent career paths that we offer. We look forward to all our newly qualified solicitors continuing to develop their knowledge and experience and contributing to the long-term growth, development and success of VWV."

Our dedication to developing legal talent is an ongoing process. This month, we are pleased to announce that six paralegals have officially started their training contracts across all four of our offices taking the current number of trainees to 23.

Our training contract provides our aspiring lawyers with exposure to four distinct areas of the law. From day one, we entrust our trainees with significant responsibility, preparing them thoroughly for a seamless transition into becoming qualified solicitors.

Bryony Montandon, who is amongst the group to have recently qualified, said: "I am very proud to finally have qualified as a solicitor in the Commercial Litigation team. This is something that I have been working towards for many years and VWV have supported me greatly through that journey. I first started at VWV as a Paralegal in 2019 and the firm has supported me through my training contract application, my LPC, my training contract and now as an NQ. The firm has helped me develop all the skills necessary to be confident in my abilities as a newly qualified solicitor."

Hannah Guy, also part of the group of newly qualified solicitors commented: "I am really proud to have qualified as a solicitor and feel even prouder to be able to stay at such an excellent firm and be back with an excellent team. VWV has been a fantastic place to work as both a paralegal and a trainee solicitor. The training provided has helped shape me into the well-rounded solicitor I am today and has given me a broader understanding of different areas of the law, and how they can intersect with my current practice area."
