Katie Hurst

Katie is a highly experienced employment lawyer with over 17 years of expertise in advising employers across all aspects of employment law.

Katie specialises in complex discrimination matters, redundancies and restructurings, disciplinary and performance issues, HR projects, and high-stakes tribunal litigation. Katie works closely with clients in both the commercial and charity sectors, with particular focus and expertise in the higher education, further education, and schools sectors.

Katie also has significant experience of handling complex and sensitive employment tribunal litigation, as well as assisting employers in relation to complex trade union issues, including recognition, collective agreements and industrial action.

Katie is known for building lasting client relationships through practical, commercially focused advice. With her extensive experience, she navigates sensitive and complex employment issues with confidence, and always considers the wider business context to deliver effective solutions.

Katie is based in our Birmingham office but can support you nationally.
