Thomas is a Partner in our Corporate Law team.

He is an experienced corporate education lawyer, advising education institutions and investors on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private capital, joint ventures, collaborations, contracts and funding, education regulatory and constitutional and governance matters. 

Thomas has a specific focus on the education sector, particularly advising institutions on strategic transactions and collaborations in the UK and internationally in both the public and private sectors.  

His wide and varied client base has included public and private sector universities, colleges, pathway providers, professional skills providers, investors and independent schools groups.  

Thomas has been lead advisor on a number of high profile projects, including university M&A, overseas branch campus set-ups for universities, international pathway college collaborations, transnational education and other academic partnerships, and nursery and independent school M&A. 

Clients will benefit from Thomas’ breadth and depth of experience in the education sector obtained over 10 years of practice, and his understanding of the issues affecting clients in the sector. He is experienced in leading strategic transactions and collaborations, often cross-border, and is skilled in project management. He is adept at drawing together teams of advisors to deliver tailored and high quality advice on complex strategic projects to clients. 

Thomas’ work undertaken in the sector has been recognised through regular legal category nominations and wins at the Education Investor awards.
