The Government has published a Schools White Paper entitled "Every child achieving and thriving" and accompanying SEND reform consultation: Putting children and young people first, setting out what would represent the most significant restructuring of the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) system since the Children and Families Act 2014.

The section 106 system is intended to promote the availability of affordable housing and protect communities from suffering adverse impacts on their local services due to development in the area. However, s106 agreements are often a delay-ridden cog in an increasingly slow and overwhelmed planning system preventing the efficient delivery of much-needed homes.

The Fundraising Regulator has recently released its updated Code of Fundraising Practice ("the Code"), but what about those 'unlicensed' fundraisers, who are not required to comply with the new Code?  A group of enforcement and regulatory bodies has urged the government to reform legislation that governs these fundraisers. 

The government's Early Years Free Entitlement scheme (EYFE) has been significantly expanded in recent years, with another tranche of funding released in September 2025. Alongside this, there has been greater scrutiny on how funding is applied. This has created new challenges for providers.
