Upstream merger of a German holding company and its UK subsidiary in accordance with the cross-border merger mechanism. The process allows companies to merge under EU regulations through a court process rather than by a conventional corporate merger. Depending on the organisations involved, it can be a simpler and more cost effective method of merging entities.

Acting for a flooring sub-contractor in a multi-million euro dispute with its main contractor. This related to flooring constructed at the extension to the terminus building at Dublin Airport. The contract specified arbitration as the preferred mechanism for dispute resolution. The issues involved the insurance of the sub- contractor's liabilities. The dispute was settled satisfactorily following negotiation, with input from the liability insurers.

Providing lead corporate advice to a French law firm and its client, the majority holder of shares in a company listed on the Euronext Paris Exchange, on the takeover of that company by a Northern European listed company.

Multi-million acquisition by a Middle Eastern client of a hotel in the UK. The client operates a growing chain of hotels based throughout the Middle East and also in the US and Europe.
