We previously reported on the government's response to the consultation on reforming the regulatory framework for the recruitment sector.
The government has now published the Regulations, which amend the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2003 (the 2003 Regulations).
The changes to the 2003 Regulations mirror those proposed in the consultation. The most significant change is to prohibit employment agencies and employment businesses from recruiting solely from other EEA countries, without advertising in Great Britain and in English.
Now that the changes are clear, it is advisable to review your terms of business with work seekers and hirers to identify any areas which may require amendment before the changes come into effect on 8 May 2016.
