What's Covered?

The interactive Part 1 and Annex A courses have been written by VWV expert education and safeguarding lawyers, and includes updated guidance. One of the most important changes is that from September 2022 all members of the governing body are required to undergo suitable safeguarding training which is why we offer a tailored Part 2 course for governors and trustees.

All school staff are also legally required to read Part 1 (or Annex A, where governing bodies deem appropriate) of the Keeping Children Safe in Education document, so it's vitally important your school has an eLearning solution in place ready for the start of the new school year.

Our subsidiary brand VWV Plus' complete suite of KCSIE training picks up changes such as:

  • the emphasis on ‘professional curiosity’ in identifying children in need of help or protection and who may not even recognise their experiences as harmful
  • barriers to effective communication caused by vulnerability, disability, sexual orientation or language
  • new terminology such as ‘child on child’ and ‘teenage relationship’ abuse
  • the importance of the governing body ensuring that the school’s DSL is properly supported and trained
  • the significance of a ‘whole school’ approach to safeguarding, including how the school’s curriculum can promote pupil welfare
  • the importance of clear school procedures on reporting low level concerns

The courses are hosted on our eLearning Solutions platform which offers a range of training written by legal experts for the education sector. The platform offers a huge range of additional features and benefits including the ability to build your own eLearning content, share and track that policies or key documents have been read by staff and review dates can be easily managed, automated reminders to staff and the ability to evidence your staff training in real-time reports.

How Much Does It Cost?

All three KCSIE courses from just £3 per user plus an annual subscription fee of £400 +VAT. You can also add functionality to build your own courses and policy tracking for just £300 +VAT.

With September fast approaching, the VWV Plus team is ready to onboard any new schools to the eLearning Solutions platform in 48 hours or less, meaning your team can be properly prepared for the start of term.
